Kimberly and Scott - Wildwood Acres

I had the fortune to be able to work with Kimberly and Scott last month at Wildwood Acres. They were a great couple. Too funny and I loved their bug theme. Lots of great moments here. I hope you enjoy the images as much as we did.

Kaylee

Last year I took a bit of a break from photographing weddings and portraits. I was a bit preoccupied with the birth of my daughter, Kaylee. I'll be starting back up again this year, but wanted to share some of our more favorite Kaylee moments. I have some other work I did do in 2011 and will update with those events shortly. I'm still playing a bit of catch up. Being a mother is definitely given me a run for my money. Now that Kaylee is getting a little older I can focus my attention(some of my attention) back on what I love, photography.

Rolling tummy to back at 2 months old. Now we can't get her to stop. It's her mode of transportation. That and crawling backwards.

I wanted to do something with one of Kaylee's toys, Twilight Turtle. The shot isn't perfected but this is along the ideas of what I had in mind. I'll be tweaking this idea.

In this shot I really wanted to emphasize the colors on her shirt along side the color cast from the tungsten light. It reminds me of something you would see out of the 70's.

Kaylee with her daddy on Super Bowl Sunday.

Kaylee playing with some toys...

and drooling...

Getting ready for her first solid meal.

Love the look on her face.

We call this her Chris Farley look. :P

Someone has their toes!

Sutro Baths Engagement in SF

I recently made a trip out to the Sutro Baths in San Francisco. I had never been there previously so it was a nice chance to explore some curiosity. Juliana and Shawn were a terrific couple. We walked all the way down the cliff side in order to capture some of the beautiful structure and ocean beach. The day didn't start quite as we had hoped as it was raining. We stuck it out and after a few minutes of dodging in and out of the rain, it cleared for a bit and we were able to get some great shots. I'm happy it all worked out. I was a bit nervous that it would end up raining the entire day.

Gretchen and Matt's wedding in Berkeley

Last December I photographed at the Hotel Shattuck in Berekeley. The hotel was built in 1910 and then renovated and updated in the 90's. Really great structure and a blast to photograph at. I had the pleasure of photographing for Gretchen and Matt's wedding days before Christmas. So naturally they had a very festive theme for their wedding. They had just both finished up with finals for their masters programs and living at separate ends of the US. They managed to do this all while planning a wedding. They did a great job and from the images you can see that they and their guests had a great time. I'm glad I was there to capture it.
